That boy please …

The year gone by brought us so close to each other and now we miss that.

We cant go on our walks and adventures through the park, to new towns.

Getting on a bus and seeing where we end up.

Always taking our camera where ever we go.

Drinking green tea and sometimes coffee in little cafe’s. Speaking of the simple things in life and our future.
Reading comics and bed time stories.

Being away from each other means we can send letters and love in the post
- One of the best things about love is this -

I was walking to town the other day and saw this flower – It reminded me of the sweets ” Campino” I was never keen on them but remember my friends being in love with them. I thought they were pretty and always wanted to like them.

This pretty little flower also made me think how nice red and white goes together !

Ps- i really need to get onto a fashion post !

Happy Birthday Roald Dahl

Roald Dahl : 13 September 1916 – 23 November 1990
Matilida

Quentin Blake does the illustrations and I think he is pretty fantastic!

The BFG

As a child I always read Roald Dahls books – I expect many of you did as well ?!

I did like them all but most of all I liked:
1- Danny Champion of the world
2- The Witches
3- The wonderful story of Henry Sugar and six more
Oh and Fantastic Mr.fox !

I really could go on, I not only have the books but I also have the collection of storys on cd’s. Which I still listen to from time to time. ( I can only sleep if I fall asleep listening to someone speaking – the radio – podcasts – story tapes. Due to the fact I always fell asleep to story tapes or my mum telling me made up stories to me when I was young )

I also remember having a video of ” The magic finger ” I think it was one of my first videos and I loved it.

A pink kitchen to cook blue cupcakes please…

I would like to thank everyone for their comments on my blog, it is so pleasing to wake up to new comments ! It also lets me explore more of your blogs which i love to do !

I do want to get round to linking some of your blogs from mine when I have a little more time this week. So if you want to exchange links let me know :)

I have to wait 12 to 14 days till I get my canon dslr back, I really can not wait !

I finish work on Saturday, where I work they have an amazing kitchen in the show room and Im not a huge fan of the colour pink ( although whilst writing this I do have pink nails) but I do have my girly days:

I will add some more photos of this kitchen when I get home as I have some better ones. But it is amazing. The work top is glittery and the pink kitchen itself also comes in other fantastic colours like baby blue, orange, purple and many more ! It is more eye catching than anything!

Oh it was so dull today, so I decided to wear a summer skirt to work to make things a little more colourful !

The photo was taken when I was at the beach a while ago!
The skirt is from Topshop.

Last night I went over to Manchester to watch the Jeremy Kyle show, I dont normally watch it at home but my friend had some spare tickets. Tacky and cheap, yes I know but it was free and actually really fun !
I love to see all behind the scenes of everything, television, film, jobs ! I also love hearing about how people got the jobs they are in and what they do and such ( maybe like job profiles, but more about the person ) .. Oh yes I also go off on a tangent pretty often !

So any how, Jeremy Kyle – He is actually really funny and nice !
If you do not know what The Jeremy Kyle show is about then here you go – The link gives you a good idea on the show and also the criticism that has surrounded it. This is my little explanation – Guests come on to the show in an attempt to work out their personal issues. Very much like The Jerry Springer show and all the other similar style shows. The set of the show was very small in relation to how it looks on the television. Also you could tell that there will be a lot of editing for when the actual show is aired. If you are in Manchester though it can be a fun, ( and free ) interesting experience.

I did enjoy seeing the cameramen/women at work and the stage crew !

A bonus from all this was I got to see my boy ! :)

I have missed being in Manchester..Uni starts in a week or so…I study Business

Also to those of you who read my blog -Do you go to school, college, uni ? or do you work? It would be nice to know what you do !

The rainy days are coming

Why we really are sad when weather’s bad

Rain is not the most ideal but living in England means that I have realised I am not going to get away from it any time soon. So I am getting myself ready for chilly days (which I love to dress for) and the rain (which I find a little harder).
I do however love it when it rains and I am sitting at home in front of the fire or lying in bed listening to it hitting the window. I like it a lot less when I have to leave the house to go to uni or work !

First on my list for winter was some everyday boots which I got the other week. It was between these ones from Topshop:

and these ones below which I got from barrets (£65.00). I do not normally go into there but these ones were very comfy and a little cheaper and also seemed to be better quality than the Topshop ones. I have not had very good experience with Office and Topshop boots, other items of clothing and shoes have been good but for some reason I have not done well with their boots.

I also have my diary ready for back to uni :

I normally go for the Dodo pad which has been fantastic but they are a little expensive but are really worth the money. I decided to go for this pretty and simple diary for this year which is from Paperchase.

A quick note on the things I got this weekend….

Skirt – In the sale at H&M – £5.00
Mini/micky mouse t shirt – topshop
Navy blue skirt H&M – £10.00
Handband £5 at topsho – I think this is really different and smart !

It has taken me weeks to find a copy of this – not so fun living here

I also got this Iluv player this weekend as a thanks for helping my dad out at work ! It has amazing sound quality and a radio too.

I also got a new mac lipgloss- The colour is perfect, sparkles and a cute hint of brown. It makes your lips tingle and makes them look a little bigger.

No alcohol needed

on the bus she fell a down
fighting back the tears …where they came from she did not know
the only person she wanted to speak to was you.

walking through the park her energy was gone
a lack of motivation
will
power
self esteem
………………..all gone

best friend
brother
but not a lover
…………………..every breath swallowed your name

she held on tight to the pen
its all over … wanted to call and say how i did/failed/blagged
i didnt

untill the night
nah wait.. its early morning ..
walking home

fighting back the tears once more
scroll to your name
call
….ring ring
two and its up
mutters
then i crack

cant cope with out speaking..
our tie-dye words …
mean more to me than
crying again
tears roll down my face
6am .. the odd person walks
stop
stare
i keep on talking
with breaks to cry

and

breaks to laugh

no alcohol needed
not a drop..
not a snort…
or a hit

many think im speaking of an old lover
the eyes of another girl
the story of a different boy

just two friends
they go together like gin and tonic
but too much can make you sick
get it right and your giddy

Rooibos Lady

Moving back to Manchester
So I shall be moving back to Manchester very soon, I need to sort out an apartment as soon as possible. Oh and I think I should apply for a job this year, which I am going to do now.
I am thinking of applying to Apple ( geeky, I know ) , Starbucks, topshop and some music shops (mostly I would like to work at Fopp, its fantastic)!

I am looking forward to seeing my friends and having a bit of fun as well as trying hard at uni to get a good grade ! Its funny, I was going to live at home but then decided I do need to move back to Manchester. This means most of my friends are sorted for living. I dont mind having somewhere on my own as I am sure people will visit and I will look for somewhere near my friends.

Camera worries

I am taking photos for two nights at the end of September and my camera as broken ( as you know ) I have sent it away and it is going to cost £162 to fix !!!! Yes I know. I am sorting the paper work out today and I shall send it late on this afternoon. I feel lost without my camera !

( Prostitutes & Policemen )

Health and Fitness

On a healthy note I went swimming last night. I loved it, the hard bit was getting to the sports center and getting into the water. After that it was fine and it helps that I enjoy swimming. I think I shall go again today and try and keep it up as I really want to tone up. Then maybe when I go back to Manchester I can carry it on!

A little tip: I am a big fan of tea ( and coffee) and I have been drinking Roobios tea for the past few months. I have had it for the past few years but it took me a while to get used to the taste. As I have been having it rather than coffee and normal tea I decided to have a look at where it comes from and such. This is what I found out:

It is also known as red bush tea
The Rooibos shrub ( Aspalathus Linearis) only grows in the North western cape of South Africa.
In Africa people drink it with milk and sugar. I have only ever had it without
It is becoming more popular as it as high levels of antioxidants
Caffeine free
It is good if you have headaches, colic, asthma, hay fever and insomnia. I can say it does help with sleep and headaches.
Something else i did not know is that it helps with skin conditions such as eczema ( which i have ) and a few others.
“The tea can either be applied to the skin, used as a wash or a drench for the hair to relive dry, itchy scalp, or used in skincare products such as soaps and cleansers. Hospitals in South Africa routinely use rooibos in baths forchildren with allergic skin conditions, as well as giving it as a drink”

Last but not least it makes you less hungry between meals.

I really like the box of this one i got the other week

A bad thing i just read :
It stains teeth and can prevent the absorption of iron in the body.– I think this must be if you are drinking a lot of it.
I think I will be having two cups a day if not one before bed ( I have big problems sleeping and I find it helps. I have a lack of iron so ill have to be careful!

I am glad i did this little bit of research and if you are a fan of herbal teas it is useful to know. Even if you are not this tea could help you with some problems.

I will carry on working on my fashion post for a little later :)

Information came from here

The start of a new year

So September is here, Summer i almost over and in my eyes it is the start of a new year !

I have always seen my year starting in September ( maybe because i have always used academic diarys for school and college and now uni ) . It will be my last year of university, as it stands in some ways this is good in other ways it is bad !

So for this year my 4 main goals are to:

  1. Tone up
  2. Study hard for one last year and get a good final grade
  3. Have lots of fun
  4. Have some idea what I want to do with my life.

Doe anyone else look at their year as starting in September?

I am at work at the moment, but when I get home I want to look into clothes for back to uni !! So expect a fashion full blog!

Oh I am also looking for a pretty flat in Manchester to live so I better get on with my search !

xx
