I have been making BBQ chicken

Reading vogue – Which my sister got, yay I didnt have to pay !
and sipping wine!

Earl grey tea in the evening is the best!

I had my hair cut the other week… here it is !

I also decided I will start posting more outfits.
The dress is from one of those random shops, i think its called “shout” – I saw it in the window and fell in love with it, so i braved myself and ran in for it !
The cardi Is from Asda
The belt is from GAP
The white pumps are Nike !! yes, nike. They are so comfy and cute.

I have now moved all my things from my flat in Manchester, handed on my keys and said goodbye to my room… The end of an era… or the start of A new chapter…

Their pretty dresses have made me fall in love with pink

I think for me – this summer – pink and white is going to be a major feature!

Just so that the girly side in me has a chance to shine.

Shopping baskets like these have always been the most useful for summer.

A sparkle and kiss of colour is shown so well in this delightful dress.

Finally to keep it simple like this is what I am craving today!

Dont forget the pixie dresses and whimsical photos. Which are so pleasing to the eye.
Or maybe just that it has a little bit of a Pocahontas vibe…………
However, all in all its a wondrous mix of all these things !
Such a girly notion these clothes hold!

These stunning clothes are a leeetle on the expensive side – They can be found on ASOS however and here are some of the ones im thinking I should really save for ! (Do check the actual website though, its lovely)

Soko – I’ll Kill her

  • Sorry for my lack of posts, I have been a little busy.. I am working on a few things and will get back on to posting on the morrow !

  • Those who have and who are heading to Glasto, well I hope you have a lot of fun, which I am sure you will.
  • My one tip – EXPLORE as much as you can. There is so so much there its very easy to miss the little hidden treasures. I have to say the best little finds were far away from the main stages. Im sure you will find them too!

My rainy day

  • First of all I want to thank you all for the lovely comments on my last few posts, The last post has now got 45 comments.

  • I want to thank and welcome all my new readers who have visited the blog, I have found so many new fantastic blogs through this !
  • I also am so glad there are many of you who share such a wondrous love for the fifties and sixties – the fashion, the decor music and simplicity !

  • I am in the process of arranging a few follow up posts which I hope you will find interesting !

Today: 17th June 2009

I woke up to a dull morning, began to get ready to head over to Manchester, and then – The rain came. So i have decided to stay in and try to get my room sorted and cleared out !

As much as I love hearing the rain hitting the window as I sip tea inside nice and warm, I do wish the sunshine would come back out to play!

So today I am sorting my room, as i mentioned before.

I want to get rid of lots of things and put things to sell as well as a trip to the charity shop!
The photo above shows my room, messy I know but you should have seen it before i moved all the suitcases!

I have almost everything back from my flat – here I am at home .. for the time being. Therefore a clear out, new start and maybe even a painting session when it is all done !

I hope to have it done today!… Ive said that a few times over the past week!

Above are some lovely finds from a recent charity shop trip with my grandma. I think they are just lovely

Last of all I am dreaming of Glastonbury and KICKING myself that I did NOT get myself a ticket this year. What a stupid mistake!

Last week my camera was at my side

Last week was when we had all the lovely sunshine !


I took a walk through the park – which I dont do often as its fully of needles on the bench, odd balls and is just a general danger zone!

Just so you all know, I made it through the park safe and sound !
Coffee and Shopping with mum in Leeds !

I was looking for new sandals, I was shocked and a little annoyed at the fact that almost every person had a pair of gladiator sandals on!

It did not help that everyone was wearing them with leggings tucked into them or over ! Im sure I would wear mine with leggings as im scared of showing my legs ?!?!?
So i need to find some funky style of sandals that not everyone has on !

- Dont get me wrong, I understand that once people pick up on a trend then you will see everyone in similar styles and its up to you to make yourself a little different. I just felt really bored by the fact that every female was wearing them ! Maybe ive looked into these sandals a little late !


The boy’s mum had a garden full of fruit


and …. Guess what—- A bike with a basket!

I went to watch Oasis in Heaton park !

It was so sunny and lovely and the cider went down a little too easily!

I wore my new Betsey Johnson sunglasses – and scratched them !

I wore my new hat from New Look – and someone stole it off my head !

Oasis were were fab, Ive not seen them live before and they really put on a good show ! Oh and they had a few technical faults at the start and came back on to the stage and said “From now this is a free gig”
Meaning – Money back !

I then walked home in the cold cold wind and actually almost froze to death ! The next day I had pains in my chest and clearly a bad cold !


The past few days I have been unpacking my things, sorting my clothes oh and ive been reading drinking way to much tea and making more things!

I want to sell some of my clothes, vintage finds and some of the things I have made. But I am not sure if I should post them on here, have a seperate blog or just stick to ebay ! Im not so good with ebay i dont think !
