Cheeseburgers and Milkshakes

This is the America in my head
This is the America I want to visit
Sadly last time I was in America it was not so much like this, dont get me wrong, it was lots of fun .. but theres something about the 50's 60's that just sucks me right in !

Cars filled with friends like this

Filling up at a place like this and with a car like that

Not blogging on my Laptop/PC/BB
But typing my thoughts on this

Dancing like this

Capturing my summer fun on one of these

A Part time job like the girls above, serving drinks in the sunshine to people in pretty cars!

Pretty girls like these - real not fake.

Watching this TV

Getting giddy over 3d glasses !

Drinking pepsi cola... Out of a glass bottle and not a plastic bottle !

Drinking a milkshake like this with my boy...

These photos were all taken from Bills Retro World which can be found here - A fantastic website !

Oh by the way, you can now find me on Tumblr: prettygreentea.tumblr.com

I am also on BlogLovin: http://prettygreentea.blogspot.com/

the epitomy of fifties style and trends , i'd say, would be the movie grease ♥

I love road trips. I have not been on one for awhile. Is it just me or does pop/ soda taste better in a glass bottle?

Certainly a lot more magical than the modern day America! I wonder if in 50 years time, the bloggers of the future will be looking back at America in 209 and saying it looked magical... haha :)

Most big cities have a regenerated core and some have rather desolate inner city slums so not really 50s and 60s.Small town America is slightly different and Hibbing MN where I spent a week last summer hasn't appeared to change all that much in either attitude or look since 1950s and 1960s.

I love coke/pepsi from glass bottles to- it reminds me of being in Zimbabwe before all the problems there. Isn't it weird how something so small can bring back such memories?
