Coffee and cupcakeswith hearts on make me shine !
I met up with Cally from the Manchester Shine event the other week whilst she was in Manchester. Between eating cupcakes and sipping coffee she told me all about the Manchester Shine event ! I had already found out about the Shine event whilst looking on the Cancer research website, so it was interesting to find out a little extra information about the event !
What is Shine?!
Well Shine is an event for both men and women to get involved with, it will be a 13 mile or 26 mile walk ( whichever you choose ) through Manchester to raise funds for Cancer Research UK!
It is not just any old walk around Manchester .. it will be at night time and light will be used in different ways throughout the event to symbolise bringing hope to the darkness of cancer!

There is a map here which shows you all of the landmarks of Manchester which you will pass on your walk – Granada Tv, the Hilton Hotel and for those football fans out there you will get to waddle past Manchester United FC which I am sure will be looking very pretty in light on the night !
There will also be lots of entertainment going on , when I find out more informaiton about this I shall inform you !
If you are interested to find out more or maybe you are already signed up and would just like to get into the Shine spirit a little more then visit Your Shine where you can connect with others who are taking part, share what you are doing in the run up to Shine and maybe even donate a blog post to the cause ! On the website Cally says: You may blog about photography so perhaps you could give advice on how to capture a moving object, or if fashion is passion maybe you could share tips on how to style get out your Shine walking outfit. It’s totally up to you!
I take part in The Race For Life each year – So I think this is a nice little change and the fact that both men and women can take part and also raise money for whichever cancer they wish which is fab as sadly most of us know someone who has been affected!
