This is just Lovea

Well I really was treated this month by the lovely folks at http://www.mypure.co.uk/ ! This Lovea shampoo is just delightful, it smells like summer…summer holidays…summer away with friends! I found that when I was using this I actually could have been away anywhere in the world getting ready for a day of sightseeing, though when I opened my eyes I was in my little bathroom at home !
More lovely organic goodness – it even has anti ageing properties in it…and though this is not something which would make me buy a product I do know that it is likely to draw in a few lovely heads!
I found that this shampoo gave my hair loads of volume – this was the first thing I noticed once I had dryed my hair. It has also made my hair feel so much stronger than it was, I think at this time of year ( the random days of strong sun we have ) your hair can do with somehting to give it a bit of strength. It is just ideal really and proves that it really does help lifeless hair and adds an extra oooompf to anyones hair !

At £4.99 I think this is really worth it, once again it is a little more expensive than the usual, though I persoanlly do not mind paying that bit extra for somehting which I know will be worth it and has so much organic goodness in ! I will post some photos of my hair in the morning – I will obviously have used the shampoo in these photos !

I have one more exciting review for you on Sunday monring !
I hope you are all having a lovely weekend and I can’t wait to catch up on everyone’s blog in the morning over a lovely cup of PG Tips !

A’kin Rose Mist

Hello all !

I have been away for a few days, I just got back about half an hour ago and as my Blackberry has broke ( not pleased at all ) the first thing I had to do was to get the computer. So my night is going to be filled with checking emails, blogs, playing my friends Mflows to get up to date on the music I have missed and of course have a lovely brew!

I always spend a long time when deciding if I will or will not review a product for a company. If I do, I want to make sure it is something that not only I am interested in but also something which my lovely readers ( I spy a few new ones hello to you all! ) will have an interest and benefit in knowing about, otherwise there is no point is there!

I found out over Twitter that http://www.blogger.com/www.mypure.co.uk were on the search for bloggers to review some products. I did a little research into what they sold and decided that I could maybe be a good blogger to review the goodies they had planned to send out ! I decided I may be a “good blogger” for them as my skin can go crazy very easily, it gets dry all the time ( gutted ) and I know that a few readers on PrettyGreenTea have similar issues and it is of course always good to read a good and honest review.

Well anyway, I shall stop banging on about it all and tell you about one of three products I was sent by Mypure the other week.

The product we are looking at is – A’kin Rose Mist – and well the first thing I shall say is that it smells very pretty , who aint going to like the smell of roses ?!? Well I adore the smell of a rose so this is just perfect for me.

What is in it ?
Well it is made from beautiful, pretty and organic goodness - “Australian Bush Flower Essences, old man banksia, dog rose and tall mulla mulla are used in this mist as well as aloe barbadensis leaf juice to calm skin, and vitamins B5 to soothe skin”

This is worth knowing:
“Akin Hydrating Rose Mist is formulated using sodium hyaluronate (hyaluronic acid), one of the latest discoveries in natural skin care. Sodium hyaluronate is a key water maintaining component in our skin. Modern living and ageing can cause a decrease in this vital skin boosting ingredient, and as a result the water maintaining ability of the skin is weakened”

Why do I love it ?
You can spray Rose Mist all over your body including your face to tone and moisturise your skin. Oh and trust me, it does just that! I was unsure if I was going to try it out on my face as I did not fancy walking around with a sore face the next day if it all went a bit wrong…..Before bed I gave it a go, *squirt, squirt* ahhh just lovely and guess what ?! My face was just fine and I have used it on my face and body since.
It was very useful in the car this weekend (everyone else stole it from me to use of course) as I am sure you know your skin can get a little dehydrated ! Oh it is a very handy size too and can pop into your handbag, which is where mine is right now.

A bottle of A’kin Rose Mist is £12.99 for 125ml which I think is a little high for the regular student / blogger / part time worker. For those of you working full time I think this will be more in your price range. However, It lasts…and lasts. I ( and my mum ) have not stopped using this since it arrived on my doorstep and I have so much left. I will keep you updated on how long it lasts ! This would make a lovely present and it is one to pop on the wish list or birthday list !
After that little babble… do I think it is worth the price ?
I am going to say Yes… but only if you can afford it of course. :)

Rose Mist is ideal for:

Keeping in your handbag – refresh your make up during work !

When travelling – It will sort you out in humid or hot dry climates !

Keep it at hand while you are at the gym – to give your skin a bit of life and cool you down ! – I have been using it straight after a jog on the running machine.

Treat your mum, a sister or a friend – I will have to get a bottle for my mum as soon as pay day is here !

If my auntie P is reading this – I think you would really like it !

Fat Face

These Fat Face shoes may be really flat but they are very comfy !
Actually, I think that the little frilly bit at the front would make a fantastic moustache.
My tights were £3 in the Topshop sale and the little red ( very well used ) hangbag is vintage …I adore and have clearly used it a little too much. But, well, yeah – I love it a bit !

Photo of the day : 24.05.10

Ok so you know how it goes – One photo a day – everyday – if possible ! As well as my other blog posts as well…I think I will also keep track of this on my flickr page too !

Photobucket

Photos will always be my own for this project !

It is a bit annoying and maybe even getting to me that I am not starting this on the 1st of …well of any month to be honest. I like doing things in order and it can become a habit ! For example – with revision I HAVE to start my revision on the hour, never half past or quarter past on the exact hour, I dont know maybe others are like this too! So I am starting my photo a day from 24.05.10 just to throw myself off a little !
Yeah mental I know.

The Baseballs

So very Elvis.

I have wanted to show you this video for a while but for some reason I just have not got round to it ! I did.not like the original of this song at all…but I found The Baseballs singing it whilst I was looking for all things 50s/60s related on Youtube ! I am so glad I did as well, they make me go a little weak at the knees – I think the video plays a major part in this too !

You can check out their other covers of songs I originally did not care for but when they sing them they totally twist and add magic to them ! Oh I have just seen that they are promoting their new album at the moment “Strike” !

America and the diner

Photobucket

Photo from the_brownhorse on Flickr !

For a long time now I have had big crush on american diners, ice cream parlours, drive in movies and motels. As a big fan of the 50s/60s and road trips I think this is most natural to have a bit of a love affair with such delightful things. So…the american diner – I think what really sucks me in is that you could, and of course still can, go in at any time of the day or night and order food or maybe even just a cup of ( bottomless ) coffee ! Yes, so simple is what I wish for right now – to observe the lonely person in the corner who keeps having their small cup of coffee filled over and over while their thoughts are on over drive.

So many kinds of people have been in and out of these places – lonely souls , truckers and greedy kids. I guess that our equivalent would have been Happy Eater ( I always remember driving past this on trips down to the South of England – however they are no longer about ) and yes, Little Cheff ( I am not nor have never really been a fan ). I feel there is more to come on this ..
