I drink the same tea as Marie Antoinette..

august2010

The lovely Jennifer of Make Tea Not War sent me one of the most pretty films I have seen ! She sent it to be back in April for my birthday! But I have only just got round to showing you all now ! Silly me ! But thank you so much J, I adore the film!

I was watching the film for the second time the other day and was quickly reminded of the Jasmine tea balls I had in the kitchen. They are very pretty and taste stronly of jasmine.. I adore watching the expanding flower and snapped a few photos for you to enjoy too!

In the film they sip the same team as this, well I am pretty sure they do. I rushed down to pop the kettle on.. whilst I was watching the film! I purchased the tea when I was last in London. The Tea House in Covent Garden is always a must for me when I go to London, I stock up on all kinds of tea, last time I decided to try these tea balls and I totally forgot I had them untill I was watching Marie Antoinette!

Check out what happens when you pop a tea ball into a cup of hot water…

I am craving a day alone, to read and sort out boxes of clothes and books to give to charity. I need some time alone to read a pile of magazines I still have not had time to look at, to read my book in bed ( it seems I only have time when I am on the train at the moment ) and to watch a film or make some things. I am sure I will figure out a little bit of time to myself over the next few weeks.
On the morrow I am going to York for the day with H.

A little bit of info…

sweeties
This photo I took a while back of a little pick ‘n’ mix makes me feel like a kid whenever I look at it! Strawbs that could pull your teeth out, milky bottles and icey cups… how naughty ! Im avoiding such sweets at the moment as well as choc and other such sugar goods ! I guess im lucky in that these are not the foods I am craving, Im such a carb addict and I really wish I was not. However bread is just lovely !
I have a few posts I am planning to get onto over the next few nights after I get home from work! I am also looking forward to catching up with your blogs !
A few things that may / may not interest you !

A’kin Hair Care: Jojoba & Lavender Conditioner

A’kin Hair Care
Jojoba & Lavender Conditioner

Normal and oily hair…
£7.49

blogJuly

What will A’kin hair care do for you ?!“light conditioning and natural lustre to fine or oily hair” I am sad to say that this conditioner was a little too light for my hair, I have quite thick hair so I feel my hair would benefit from my usual heavier conditioners. I tended to have to use quite a lot ( whilst fighting to get it out of the akward lid ) and it did make my hair smell delightful but as I said it really was not for my hair ! This was another product that my lucky sister found fantastic for her hair ( she has oily hair ) and even though her hair is quite thick she found that using a big blob of A’kin conditioner did the job !

I decided to use A’kin when I had a shower before bed as the smell was lovely and relaxing! Oh and as you know, lavender is meant to help you sleep well!

I would be more keen to say that if you tink this conditioner is for you , that you should invest in the 500ml pump pack on the pure fact that the bottle for this ( though pretty ) was a nightmare to get the lovely smelling stuff out !

Worth it ?
If £7.49 is what your happy to spend on such products and your hair is oily , then I would say yes ! But I do not think I will be buying this one in the future and for that reason, Im out !

Which road to take..

Sometimes we never know which road to take and sometimes it leads down a twisty and dark road to destruction and then a sharp turn to the left can lead you to the most delightful road of flowers and contentment. I want to find my way back to that road, I have drifted off onto a side road and would really like to find my way back !

Drive Slow

I am glad I didn’t go into too much info or dig out any stories on Friday, sometimes it really is not needed and some memories don’t need to stick around too much . I am more than happy hearing other people’s stories and adventures !
