Sherbet Lemons

Collection 2000 ‘Sherbet Lemons’ – Looks fantastic on, total pain to remove. So for that reason, I wouldn’t suggest buying this one. I will most likely be applying it to my poor nails again, because I do always try things twice, so I shall keep you updated.
Remember kids, always use a base coat.

Green tea and research..

Sipping green tea and reading The Language of Advertising by Angela Goddard. I have a few advertising books I am making my way through at the moment, do any of you have any good ones you can suggest to me?

The tea I am drinking is from Holland and Barrett, it is Green tea & Jasmine, it has a very light floral kick to it and is very good for detoxing and also I find it gives me energy and keeps me focused. Some people add a little sugar to their green tea, I think adding honey is a healthier option, but personally I do not find the need to add anything to it.

Adapt Or Die..

Here is my friend Savvy in his latest music video taken from his mixtape, Play to Win. This is a lovely video filmed by Jamie Adair, it was filmed near my local town back around Christmas time.

You may remember me telling you about Savvy when I did a shoot with him a while back in a lovely little teashop in Huddersfield. There is always lots of fun to be had when Savvy is about, between us we come up with some badass ideas and we will be doing some more work together very soon.

My dream work shoes..

To me, this is the classic work shoe, it is patent black, has a block heel and will look perfect with near enough anything you will be wearing to work. These are by D&G and can be found over at My Wardrobe, these killer heels are just what I need.

Once again, I am craving a pair of shoes a little out of my price range, but if all goes to plan with the job search I may be able to treat myself.

That orange feeling..

IMG_5820
July has been a very orange month, my nails have been orange and I have been keeping my eyes open for orange dresses and skirts. This orange flower I spotted today is the perfect shade and gave me a lot of inspiration, I hope it brings a smile to your face and some inspiration too.

She will dance all night in a chunky heel..

AW11 - For me AW11 is going to be all about block heels. Easy to walk in, less of a chance of falling in the rain and to make me a little taller. I am trying to cut down on wearing my Converse and Vans every day, I have lots of pretty shoes that just don’t get worn enough. So a plan of trying to wear a block heel every other day is a good start to becoming a little taller and a little smarter.
I am getting excited at planning ahead these days, AW11 clothing ides is just the start.
Oh, I know these ones are a little out of my price range, but I am on the hunt for a selection of chunky heels which will be kinder on the purse. I will of course keep you updated.
What do you think of block/chunky heels, do you prefer them to a thinner heel and will you be spotted in them when autumn falls? See what I did there?

Chanel in red please…

I like that Chanel Rebelle can be built up or down depending on the occasion you are wearing it in. I got this lipstick before I went to Cannes and haven’t worn it since I got back, but since finding it in one of the pockets of my bag I have not taken it off.
A lipstick like this can be applied in the morning and still leave a tint of red by the end of the day, if you are lazy like me that is. I spent quite some time looking for for the perfect shade of red, why I didn’t start with Chanel I don’t know.
This has been applied with one quick swipe, I usually put it on a little thicker than this, to give it much more of a ‘hello red lips‘ look.

I really like that this lipstick is really moisturising, I don’t even need to apply lip balm throughout the day when I use this.

A Sunday G&T

IMG_5752
IMG_5743

Today has consisted of G&T for everyone, making the most of the sunshine by relaxing outside, reading The Guardian (from last Saturday) and painting my nails in this limited edition Barry M nail varnish. I find Barry M very good value for money and they have a nice selection of summer shades. This base coat from Collection 2000 was pretty cheap at only a few pounds, I put two coats of this on before my nail varnish. It has been doing a really good job for me since I pinched it from my sister, thanks Poppy.

Two songs for you :
The Small Faces
 The Kinks

I have now returned inside to fill in an application form, click publish on this post and do a little research. I hope everyone is enjoying their Sunday.

Orla Kiely from Summer to – Autumn

Here are some pretty little numbers from the Orla Kiely Lookbook, I have picked these out of the SS2011 looks because I think that these can be easily transformed into something ideal for autumn/fall.
Simply add a pair of warm tights to each of these looks, pair up with a cute hat and your good to go.
This Topshop hat will go with almost anything, it is the kind of hat you could pop on each morning with without any worry, it will keep your hair safe from the wind and rain too.
There is lots of pretty dresses in the sale at the moment.
