Don’t live for the weekend…

IMG_7606
The weekend has come and gone once again but that doesn’t mean the fun has to stop. Don’t be someone who lives for the weekend, make the most of the week and do things you love. I like to do as much as I can at the weekend because I am not at home home during the week but I still incorporate all the things I love to do into my weekdays. I don’t limit myself to enjoying my weekends only because there is so much time in the week even with the other things that go on in life. I could easily come home from work and just watch TV all night but that isn’t something I personally enjoy. I make sure I go for a long walk round the shops after work, pick some food for my evening meal and then come home and start work on my blog. This obviously changes each day but that was a little snippet of what I did today. Oh and on my lunch break I went for a walk to library and round the shops. I am lucky because I enjoy my job and I like to think I am usually proactive in other aspects of my life. If I want to learn something new or go on an adventure then I will. Your week is what you make it, it’s your your spare time and you can do whatever you want. Make the most of it.

i just can’t find the time to do that much at the moment, i’m finding it hard to squeeze in the gym but i’m going to make an extra effort to go after work. working weekend’s sucks

  • Love this post, it is inspiring me to make more of my time. Which was one of the reasons I actually started blogging in the first place. You’re so right about making the most of the weekdays as well as the weekends because so many people just live for the end of the work week and that’s not a good way to be!

    Thanks for sharing 🙂

  • Just thought I’d let you know I’ve just linked to this post on my blog because I loved it so much! Hope that’s ok 🙂

  • so true. I struggle with this though. I tend to be so tired after work that I just want to eat and watch tv, but I find that when I actually push myself to do an activity during the week I feel much better.

  • It is true, we should definitely try and make more time for the things that we enjoy doing. I don’t watch TV at all although often my evenings are spent working. When the weather is nice like this it is great to get out in the fresh air and makes you feel so much better!

Couldn’t agree more! Looking forward to restoring my own work life balance over the the next few months and hopefully recapturing some passion for the day job!

  • very well put, i like the way u write xxx

  • Really couldn’t agree more, if I have a few days of coming home and not doing anything I feel crap. Really helps to get out and do something you love even if it’s just for half an hour!

    xo

  • Totally agree with this, I wish I had the time to actually do it properly though! Unfortunately I don’t particularly enjoy my job, I just see it as a way to keep me in the lifestyle I like, but it means I end up working from around half 7/8am til late most nights and rarely get a lunchbreak. Definitely going to try and make the most of the week though after reading this, thank god the evenings are getting lighter at least!xxx
