Pure Tea: The best mint tea so far…

Pure Tea 5 pure tea 4 Pure tea 3 Pure tea 2 Pure Tea 1

Pure Fresh Tea kindly sent me some tea to try and the first one I am sharing with you is Natural Mint. I don’t ever pick mint tea, I usually go for green but after trying Natural Mint by Pure Fresh Tea I can honestly say I really enjoyed it and may start incorporating it into my afternoon tea selection. I often find that the mint tea you can find in the supermarkets (many brands) taste quite bitter which is why I normally stay away from it. The Natural Mint tea however tastes beautifully soft and light and would be perfect as a follow on from an evening meal or after lunch at work. Mint tea is also caffeine free which means it is ideal to have in the evening or before bed. Don’t forget that Mint tea is good for your digestion and contains vitamin C.

The packaging for Pure Fresh Tea is very pretty and keeps teabags very fresh. The presentation box makes it perfect for a present for your friends who love tea. Actually, the Pure Tea Sample Pack would be the perfect gift for someone along with some yummy macaroons.

Price of Natural Mint Tea: £6.45 – 18 boxed pyramid bags.

Summer Inspiration from Zara

Inspiration from: Zara Lookbook April
Here is a little inspiration I have taken from the April Zara lookbook. I think all this sunshine (which seems to be hiding today) has me ready to start wearing summer clothes. I am on the look out for a crisp white shirt and a white blazer as I think they will be ideal to mix with bright or pastel colours.

My Sunday: Sunshine in Southwold

It was lovely to finally have chance to enjoy the good weather on Sunday. I spent all week in work and on Saturday I was at the iFabbo conference and didn’t see much of the sunshine. My week had been very tiring and I was feeling it on Sunday morning (6am starts and returning at 7pm are draining me) so I was glad to be able to hide behind my sunglasses all day. I went for a walk through the town and had a look in the new Aubin and Wills shop. As much as I didn’t want to like it I found that it was full of beautiful prints and I was drawn to everything in the shop. I am sure I will be popping back in there soon. I then made my way to the beach as went for a long walk on the sand, the sun was very hot but there was a lovely sea breeze which was nice.

Soutwold town was very busy but not as busy as the beach, it was like the middle of summer down there. People were swimming in the sea, children were building sandcastles and everyone had an ice lolly in their hand!

Before I left the house I thought that my yellow converse would be ideal to wear out and about in the sunshine. They were as comfy as ever and the yellow looked fab with my white dress but I couldn't help thinking I would rather be wearing sandals. The only problem is that I find it very hard to find sandals I like, I can find shoes, trainers and boots too easily but when it comes to sandals I am very fussy. I want to try and ensure I wear sandals more this summer, it's nice to let your feet get some air and sunshine. The hunt for the perfect pair of sandals begins.

My mum and I shared a sandwich on the beach from Suzie's cafe and I found what I think may be my new favourite drink, Breckland Orchard - Ginger and chilli

What did you do at the weekend? Did anyone have a BBQ, I really fancy havin one.

Festival de Cannes: Poster inspiration

If you follow me on Twitter you will know very well that I didn’t attend Cannes Film Festival this year. I apologise for banging on about it so much but at the same time I do hope that you enjoyed all the links and reviews I have shared with you. I went to Cannes last year (see here and here) and had a really good time, I hope to attend next year and network as much as I can with the hope of becoming a unit stills photographer one day.

This is a very small selection of some of my favourite Cannes Film Festival posters of the past. As I wasn’t in Cannes this year I spent a fair bit of time researching the history and of course keep up to date with Cannes 2012. You can see more of the posters and find out where I found them over at my Pinterest page.

Did any of you attend Cannes this year?

Must have nail varnish summer 2012

Mavala Prettygreentea
We have had beautiful weather in the UK this week and I hope you have all had the chance to enjoy it. I am finally having the chance to get out into the warm weather today and will be heading down to the beach with a magazine. I have once again been wearing Romantic by Mavala on my nails this week as it goes well with the lovely weather. Romantic has the perfect summer feel to it and does a good job at not chipping as I type away on my computer all week.

I have used Romantic quite often since I got it from a local shop in February and I really think this is a colour everyone should have in their summer nail varnish collection. Today I am wearing a white dress and I simply can’t get over how lovely Romantic looks against the dress. I will be sharing photos of today’s outfit in another post. I am not saying that Romantic is the only colour you should have in your nail varnish collection for summer, but it’s definitely one which should be within it. I have my eye on a few pastel shades to add to my summer collection and I will be keeping you updated with the ones I go for.

What colours have you been wearing on your nails this week?

Cows in Southwold stick together..

Cow 7
Cow 6 Cow 5 Cow 4 Cow 3 Cow 2 Cow 1
On Sunday I went for a lovely walk around Southwold, the weather was warm and I had my camera in my hand. I was walking by some fields when I noticed all the cows acting a little unusual, in the distance I could see one cow walking across the golf course and realised this would be why they were all so worried. She has escaped from her field and was making her way into the town, I think she actually stopped in another field to check out the grass and as far as I know her owners soon helped her back to her usual field. Her friends and family in her field will have been pleased as they were all very distressed that she had marched out of the field. I took advantage of the cows being close to the path where I was and snapped a few photos. Don’t worry, they all signed consent forms.

Living Nature: Illuminating Tint Review

IMG_0331

Living Nature Illuminating Tint is soft on your skin and gives a highlight to your face as opposed to a full cover up. This is perfect for me because I like to let my skin have the chance to breathe (sometimes) and yet still wear a tint so that I have a little glow to my face when I leave the house at 7am. Yes, 7am is when I am getting into my car, which really isn’t cool. I only manage to leave so early with a little help from Nespresso and Living Nature Illuminating Tint. I am a big fan of Living Nature products and have never had any problems with my skin when using them.

Those of you looking for full coverage should avoid using a foundation tint but instead mix it with full foundation to give an added highlight.

Price: £20 – I have actually used this several times before and as it always lasts a long time I am happy to buy it again. Depending on the time of year and what other products I am using I usually find this lasts about 4 months. That’s £5 a month which is quite cheap when you break it down.

Do you like to wear a tint or a full cover up foundation?

Music I have been listening to – 21.05.2012

I keep trying to listen to the radio every morning when I get into the car but I just can’t seem to handle it. At 7 am it seems to be loud talking and shouting with the odd song here and there. I don’t mind talk shows, I actually really enjoy them especially late at night but it bores me a little when it’s all about shout outs to other people. What I need at 7am is some fab music to get my day off to a good start.
Over the last two weeks I have had a few albums in my car which I have grabbed from the top one of my boxes of music. I have quite a lot of music and at the moment it’s all stored away in boxes since I have moved and am not sure where I will be heading next. I do plan on picking out a selection of albums from one of the boxes so I can have a wider selection of music for my morning drive to the station. Here are a few songs which have made it on during my morning journey to the station.

The xx, Example (his first album not recent ones), Lightspeed Champion and Black Sabbath.

Dreaming of a Western adventure

Prettygreentea cowboy boots

Hello to those of you passing by my blog and a big thank you for your support. Here we are looking at my fantastic Bronx boots again, sometimes I can’t get over how much I really do like them. It’s so nice to have a pair of shoes that I feel 100% comfortable in. These cowboy boots give me a little height and yet are delightfully comfortable, what more could I ask for in a shoe. If you are also on the look out for shoes with a cowboy feel then may I suggest checking out Koah.

My longing to spend the summer on a cowboy ranch has not faded, I actually think it would make for a  good photography project. Documenting a western adventure is something I think people would be interested in, I know I would love to know more about the cowboy way of life. In this nosey world we live in we all love to have a little look into the way people live their lives and there isn’t anything wrong with that. Well, there are some aspects of it which are negative, for example – stalking ‘celebrities’ and taking photos of them with an 800mm lens whilst they are trying to have some private time on holiday is intrusive and something the public don’t need to know about. However, what we do need is more documentaires and accounts of the way people live their life within their own culture (people willing to be involved) so that we can expand our knowledge about the world we live in. Aday is a fab project that happened on 15th May 2012, I hope more similar projects pop up.

If anyone knows about pitching ideas to publishers then please let me know as I have a few ideas which I need to start doing something with.

xx
