Hair care: John Frieda Frizz – Ease

John Frieda

Just before Christmas I was sent over a few products from the John Frieda Frizz-Ease range*. I remember using Frizz-Ease when I was back in school and had very very thick hair. It’s been a long time since then but I still have pretty thick hair and often need something to tame it. I’ve always noticed the Firzz-Ease range in the shops but have never purchased the shampoo or conditioner. I must admit that it’s only since I started swimming again that I’ve been keen to start looking after my hair more and experimenting with new products and brands.

I’ve been using the John Frieda products for around a month now and thought that it was about time I shared my thoughts with you. I wanted to tell you about these products after I first tried them but I think it’s good to give things a good month trial, especially as I have sensitive skin. I try my best to wash my hair upside down or as far away from my body as possible. This helps to avoid getting too much soap on my skin. I’ve had no reaction from these products, yay!

The swimming has made my hair quite dry over the 3 months and I’ve been using a variety of hair masks to try and hydrate it. Since I’ve started using the John Frieda shampoo and conditioner I’ve noticed that I don’t use hair masks and deep conditioners as often. I now use them as a special treat after a full week of swimming. The shampoo and conditioner have really helped to restore moisture in my hair and it’s started to feel much smoother and healthier.

I also want to point out, even if it sounds a little odd, that my hair was getting very knotty before I started using the Frizz-Ease products. I’m not sure if it was from swimming or restless nights but ever since it’s been much more manageable.

An important factor when talking about hair products is the scent. These smell lovely and I’ve noticed that it lasts throughout the day. The best way I can describe smell is that it’s one of those clean, fresh. ‘straight out of the hairdresser’ type scents.

I’ve been taking these tubes to the gym with me, even though they are pretty big. So I’ve really been using them a lot. I have just under half the product left in each tube but as soon as they run out I’ll be repurchasing.
