I’ve been using the Clinique Lash Power Feathering Mascara for a good few weeks and I can honestly say that I really like it. The one I have is Black Onyx but it also comes in Dark Chocolate.
I used to buy a lot of skin care products (anyone else a fan of the yellow cream?) from Clinique but never ventured into trying out their make-up. I’m not sure why, I think I was just a huge fan of Lancome make-up at the time and didn’t venture far.
The mascara comes in beautiful floral packaging and is a neat little size to pop into your make-up bag. I think that they could have done something extra with the tube as it doesn’t look very luxurious. However, it’s what’s inside that counts, right?
So, one of my favourite things about this mascara is that it’s light and builds easily without clumping. If you prefer a thick and heavy mascara then this wont be for you. However, if you’re like me and don’t want to know the mascara is there you will love it. This mascara has done a lovely job at ‘feathering’ my lashes through adding length and separating them neatly. I almost don’t feel like I’m wearing mascara with this and yet still getting the results I desire.
I find the short length of the wand really easy to use and it ensures that I apply the mascara with more care than I normally would. The length of the wand and quantity of bristles really help in separating the lashes. It’s smudge resistant too which is always a bonus.
Before I forget, this mascara is perfect if you’re feeling lazy. Simply dab warm water around your eyes and it rub with a cotton pad to remove with ease. I thought that this might irritate my sensitive eyes but I’ve used it solid for a few weeks and my eyes have been fine.
I’m keen to try out more from the Clinique make-up range.
