Last year I said goodbye to 2013 with a collection of Instagram photos. It went down pretty well so I decided that I would do it again. At the start of 2014 I began the Photo a Day challenge, but I found it difficult to keep track of because I upload so many photos to Instagram. I managed to do a round-up for January but then lost tack of the photos amongst everything else I was uploading. Will you be doing the Photo a Day challenge this year? If so, will you do it via Instagram, Flickr or a specific app? I feel like I need to use one app which is dedicated to it.

I’ve had an enjoyable and interesting year which started off in Norwich and ended with me living in Sheffield, something I never would have predicted. I started 2014 on sabbatical (Ross?) and quickly ended that situation when I managed to get a job through the one and only application I made. After a couple of months I decided to leave the new agency and work with them on a freelance basis (which I’m still doing now). This was one of the best decisions I made. It gave me the time and freedom to concentrate on building up my freelance clients, get this little blog back on track and begin to plan and save for my new business, Indiecana. I finally launched Indiecana in November and it’s nice to finally have something that I’m really proud of.

A few highlights from 2014:

– I was treated to a day trip to Palma on the 787 Dreamliner
– I launched my Career Inspiration series which is going well
– I launched Indiecana, my lifestyle boutique
– I made a big effort to learn how to cook new meals – something I hope to continue in 2015
– I started freelancing in March

I don’t have the energy to do a full looking back on 2014 post. I’ve run myself down towards the end of this year and I’m busy working on projects for the new year (blog and business related).

I wish you all the best of luck and lots of happiness in 2014. x
