Ugly Sparkling Water Review

IMG_6743

I’ve always been really into sparkling water. It’s my go to drink when I go out for a meal. A lot of my friends aren’t keen on it at all so I’m usually left to drink a large bottle to myself. Today I’m sharing something new and exciting with you – UGLY Drinks. They’ve created flavoured sparkling water which is free of sugar and artificial sweeteners. It’s not at all sickly sweet like some flavoured waters which you can find on the high-street.

It was back in May that I first tried UGLY water and I’ve been buying cans of it ever since. It’s not something I drink on a daily basis but when I fancy something with a little fizz I’ll go for an UGLY. I actually like to keep a few cans in the house for those moments where you crave something with fizz. I’ve managed to find UGLY in local health food shops and market stalls (in Cambridge), Holland & Barrett and you can even buy it through their website. There’s a full list of stockists over on their website.

There are 2 flavours; Grapefruit & Pineapple and Lemon & Lime. Both flavours taste really good and they’re all natural which makes a nice and healthy change to other fizzy alternatives. I also like that the cans have foil over the lids which helps to keep them clean when they’re on the shelves in shops or in you handbag.

The Grapefruit & Pineapple is perfect for anyone who loves a tropical and fruity taste. As soon as you open up the can it has a lovely sweet scent, not at all overpowering but one that makes you want to drink straight from the can. Make sure you drink this straight from the fridge, sparkling water is always best served chilled.

The Lemon & Lime flavour is a little like lemonade but with more of a subtle flavour to it. Although the flavour is subtle you still get a good zingy and refreshing taste from it. I think this could work well as a mixer. I’ll give it a try and report back.

I really enjoyed both flavours and as I mentioned before, I’ve repurchased both flavours multiple times over the last few months. Let me know if you give UGLY water a try.
