Earlier this week Expedia dropped me an email to tell me about their latest project with Manchester based Photographic Poster Artist, Jordan Bolton. Jordan has created 4 posters representing the life and soul of Paris, Rio de Janeiro, San Francisco and Tokyo. I fell in love with them straight away and thought it would be fun to share them with you.
Although I’ve only been to 2 out of the 4 cities I found that they feature everything that comes into my mind when I think of these cities. Although it’s hard to pick a favourite I think I’d have to go for Tokyo, mainly because it’s next on my list of long-haul destinations to visit. What I enjoy most about each of the posters is how much detail there is, there’s just so much to look at and the symmetry is very pleasing. I would love to have one of these framed on my wall.
As you know, here at Prettygreentea we always like to go behind the scenes and find out a little more about the creative process. So, to clue you (and me in), Jordan used white plasticine and made miniature versions of each of the objects and then painted them. He then placed them onto coloured card and photographed them from above.
Leave a comment below and let me know which of these destinations you would like to visit next.
