I love a good subscription service and have tried a fair few over the years. My favourites are probably the foodie ones but I’m always open to trying something new and exciting. Today I’ve put together a few of my favourite subscriptions alongside some new discoveries.
I think a one-off box or monthly subscription service can make a fantastic gift idea. They aren’t something that everyone would regularly treat themselves to but it’s a fun way to give someone a special gift that lasts over a couple of months. I hope that this post gives you a little inspiration for gift ideas or to simply treat yourself in the new year.
MicroBarBox
MicroBarBox is a monthly subscription service but as with most services you can pick to just buy it as a one-off gift. Each box comes beautifully packaged with a selection of cocktails, wines, mixers and snacks. I’ve had a few of these boxes and reviewed one here and unboxed one over on YT.
I’ve purchased a few of these boxes for family and friends and they always go down very well. I think that the Christmas Box would be a fun treat for someone who loves to experiment with new drinks.

Sourced Box
I was subscribed to Sourced Box for well over a year and only ended my sub to try out something new for a while. I’m sure I’ll go back to Sourced Box again in the new year, it’s really good. My cupboard is now filled with healthy snacks from new and exciting brands.
Sourced Box is perfect for anyone who is keen to discover healthy foodie brands. It’s fab for anyone who is dairy free or vegan. You can subscribe for a monthly box or buy the previous boxes individually.

I found out about the Craft Gin Box via Joe. You can pick to go monthly, bi-monthly or quarterly. Each month you’ll be sent a full-size small-batch gin, a selection of tonics to compliment it, mixers, foodie treats and their magazine. A perfect treat for any gin lover.

Bloom & Wild
Bloom & Wild is a really special gift. It allows you to treat someone (or yourself) to fresh flowers every week, fortnight or month. The flowers are carefully packaged and will arrive straight through the letterbox. It’s a very simply idea but one that can bring a lot of cheer into your home.

BRUU Tea Club
BRUU is a new discovery for me. It’s a monthly tea club where you receive 3 new teas. You can select your favourite types of tea to ensure you’ll be getting teas that are new to you but which you’ll love.
The teas are always truly unique. I currently have their Christmas selection sitting on my desk and it includes Funky Plum, If Terry’s did Rooibos and Lovely Liquorice. So far I’ve only had the chance to try the liquorice one and OMG it’s so tasty and very warming for this time of the year.
