What do you think about Matalan? I find myself going in there quite a bit as I often walk by when I’m heading to the supermarket. Sadly, I haven’t found clothes jumping out at me. I know that it’s meant to be pretty good for cheap womens clothes and their homeware is also very popular. I have a few friends who aways find good bargains and Laura from A Daisy Chain Dream often has some really pretty clothes from there. I usually pick up some tights when I go in but that’s it for clothes. I seem to have this problem in most high-street shops at the moment, so it could just be me.
Their homeware looks really good, i’ve already got my eye on some really affordable bedding and kitchen items. I would love to know what kinds of things you find in Matalan, maybe I need to spend more time browsing.

I’m an unashamed fan of Matalan and always seem to find a few items I like. When I was growing up I used to raid their jewellery section for the Topshop copies, they always used to have the same things but much cheaper. I also like the workwear section, they always have a couple of cute pencil skirts in.
LOVE these. Remind me of some Orla Kiely ones I had my eye on, and very nearly purchased which were around £25 each!
we dont have one near me but i’ve been in a few times when we’ve come across one, hubs has bought a lot of jeans there to wear to work as they do the right size (short leg) and are dirt cheap! Ive not bought clothes there like you say usually get some socks or tights..
Don’t mind a bit of Matalan shopping now and again. Homeware is good and reasonaly priced. I like the tea caddy very cute. Clothes wise every now and then I can find some good pieces. I quite like them for shoes, cheap enough but they seem to last a bit longer than other cheap places. xx
