About Me

Hi, I’m Daisy and welcome to my little space on the Internet. I’m currently based between Sheffield and Cambridge so you’ll see me talking about both cities.

I’ve been creating blogs since way back when Geocities was a thing, does anyone else remember that? About 8 years ago I decided to make the move from LiveJournal to Blogger and then finally onto WordPress. I’ve been settled here ever since.

Here on Prettygreentea I share my life, my loves and my travels. I’m always trying to learn and grow as a person and you’ll find that journey through posts like 30 before 30 fun goals, How to save for your first deposit, The Crab Bucket Theory and Why I Turned Down a Job in NYCI like to share stories and photos from my daily life, my style, the best places to eat and my love for city breaks. This blog is full of my experiences in life and I hope that they encourage you to live the life you choose.

Looking out at the view

I’ve never been one to long for a year-long backpacking trip. When I was younger I thought if I enjoyed travel then that was surely what I needed and should want to do. After all, that’s what everyone around me was doing. However, as I’ve grown and become self-employed and more aware of who I am I’ve realised that yes, I do love travel but on my terms. So, you won’t see me backpacking around the world for months on end but you will see me taking long weekend breaks to Budapest, week-long trips to Italy and Germany and of course, long-haul flights for slightly longer trips to Tehran and New York. I love to travel, I love to explore a new city and experience the culture but I like to combine it with my work. For me, it’s all about finding the right balance between a comfortable home base, flexible work and lots of city breaks.

Prettygreentea is a positive space so you’ll only hear about the things I truly love and would recommended to my family and friends.

Over the last few months I’ve really started to enjoy creating vlogs about my travels, my daily life and of course, to share my favourite things of the moment. Looking back on this video bank of memories is the best. If you’re thinking of documenting your life through film then I highly recommended getting started today

I also like to record audio versions of my podcasts, blogcasts, if you will. Why don’t you start by finding out the full story on why I turned down a job in NYC and the importance of following your dreams.

Speaking of audio, I’ve also been sharing social media podcasts on my business blog, Llama Social. I share my top tips on the importance of Twitter chats and kicking self-doubt to the curb. I still do regular freelance work and I’m currently offering Twitter overviews for businesses and bloggers.

You can probably tell by now that I’m a big fan of documenting my life. So it will come as no surprise that I’m a huge fan of social media. You’ll find me tweeting about useful articles, sharing my favourite blog posts on Facebook, snapping my daily life, pinning my dream beach house, taking snaps of my travels and local finds on Instagram and sharing mini podcasts on Anchor. I’m always looking to try the latest social platforms. I was late to the game with Snapchat and someone took my username, so that’s the only place where you’ll find me as PGTDAISY. Everywhere else I’m Prettygreentea.

Over the last few years I’ve shared some exciting experiences and useful posts here on Prettygreentea. I went on-board the 787Dreamliner and shared an in-depth review. I recently shared my top tips on saving for a deposit and talked about how important it is to stop doubting yourself
