3 Dairy Free Coffee Treats

I am loving the warm weather we’ve been having here in the UK. I’ve really got into the swing of making lots of ice cold treats at home which I can relax with in the garden. The other week I was given the opportunity to test out Gourmesso coffee pods within some of my recipes. I thought this was the perfect excuse to work on some dairy free treats I’ve been wanting to share with you for a while. I’ve used Gourmesso multiple times now and I really do enjoy their coffee pods.

Today I’m sharing 3 very simple dairy free treats all with a coffee kick.

Hazelnut and Coffee Ice Lollies

I am so into ice lollies at the moment. I always like to make my own lollies because it’s much more fun and it’s a chance to get creative. Over the last couple of weeks I’ve been making these hazelnut and coffee ice lollies and they always go down very well.

What you need to make 4:
Adjust the measurements according to the size of your moulds.

– Hazelnut milk – 1 cup
– Double shot of coffee
-Dash of maple syrup or sweetener of your choice

– Mix together a double shot of coffee with a cup of hazelnut milk.

– Mix in 1 teaspoon of maple syrup.

– Remove the moulds from the freezer and top up with the coffee mix.

– Pop the lollies back in the freezer and leave them to set over night.

– If you can’t remove the lollies from the moulds then run them under the hot tap for 30 seconds.

Mocha Milkshake

Ever since I had a particularly bad dairy free milkshake I’ve wanted to share my own recipe with you. It’s not one I use often but it comes out a couple of times a year when Phil and I are craving a mocha delight. They’re so so easy to make, I don’t really know how anyone could get it wrong.

Be warned, this one is a real treat, a real naughty treat. They’re simple to make but very rich.

Iced Latte

A classic iced latte has been my go to over the last couple of weeks. I’ve been drinking them in place of my morning coffee and I just can’t get enough of them. I don’t know about you, but I much prefer making iced coffees at home, they can often be too sweet when I order them out.

What you need:

– 1/2 cup of almond milk – or milk alternative of your choice
– Double shot coffee
– Teaspoon of honey or sweetener of your choice

Depending on the size of your glass you may need more milk.
