Nip & Fab Regime For Dry Skin

I’ve always been aware of the ever-popular skincare brand, Nip & Fab. However, over the years, I’ve only tried a few of their charcoal masks. I’ve never got around to giving any of their products a try ’til now. To be honest with you, I just didn’t know where to start but I’m so glad I’ve now learnt a little more about the brand.

Nip & Fab are vegan, cruelty-free and focused on regime-based skincare solutions. They assure customers that they have – A fix for every skin concern.

Nip and fab for dry skin review

Over the last month I’ve been using the Dehydrated & Dry SPF Skin Kit from Nip & Fab (£49.95). They sent the kit out to me as a sample for the launch of their new Nourishing SPF 30 Moisturiser.

I was delighted to receive the kit because not only have I never used any of their skincare regimes before but my skin had been feeling very dry and dull from the recent change in weather. It really is getting cold now and my skin needs as much hydration as it can get.

When it comes to skincare I always look for products that are designed with dehydrated skin in mind. Now that I’m in my 30s I’m also looking for something that talks about plumping skin and encouraging it to glow. My skin needs all the help it can get during the autumn and winter months.

Nip and fab dry skincare regime

Let’s take a closer look at the Nip & Fab products I’ve been using to hydrate and nourish my skin over the last few months. I didn’t start out using them all on the first day. I introduced a new product every couple of days before getting into the full routine. This is just how I role when it comes to trying new products.

Nourishing SPF 30 Moisturiser

Nip and Fab Nourishing SPF moisturiser

Let’s talk about the new Nourishing SPF 30 Moisturiser (pssst it’s currently on offer).

This is a daily use moisturiser with SPF 30. It combines hyaluronic acid (to restore moisture levels), a moisturising complex to support the skin’s natural barrier and bio-water bamboo to soften the skin. All of these ingredients make it perfect for those of us with dry skin.

In any product I use the first thing I’m looking for is hydration, especially now the colder months have set in. Then I like to ensure that the moisturiser I’m using in the morning has SPF, that’s non-conditional for me these days. Often these requirements can leave you with a very heavy product but the Nourishing SPF 30 Moisturiser from Nip & Fab is lovely and light and absorbs into your skin immediately.

The first time I used the moisturiser I was planning to apply foundation on top but I simply didn’t need to. I applied a small amount of the cream to my face and neck. The product soaked into my skin quickly and left it looking dewy, feeling hydrated and with a natural glow. I just didn’t feel the need to add a layer of foundation on top of my skin because I was so happy with the fresh glow it gave to my skin.

Final thoughts

This is a super hydrating face cream which is lovely and light and absorbs quickly into your skin. I find that I’m wearing less make-up day-to-day and haven’t reached for my foundation much since switching to this. I’ll be buying this again and might even grab a bottle while it’s on offer.

Vitamin C Fix Scrub

Nip and fab vit c scrub - review

The Vitamin C Fix Scrub (reduced to £7.95) is an energising and illuminating exfoliating scrub infused with Vitamin C to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, coffee seed extract to energise and invigorate your skin and coconut oil to nourish and soften skin.

I’m always a little nervous when trying a new face scrub as I have sensitive skin. The Vitamin C Fix Scrub has been working really well for me over the last month or so. It’s gentle and not at all harsh or drying on my skin which is what I like and need from a weekly scrub. It leaves my dry and sensitive skin feeling smooth and refreshed.

The scrub has a lovely scent although I can’t put my finger on what exactly that it is or how to describe it. It’s just a very light and fresh scent.

Final thoughts

I’ve really enjoyed having this scrub as part of my weekly routine. I use it on a Sunday night which is the one evening when I always spend a little extra time on my skincare routine. I think I could probably use this scrub twice a week as it’s lightweight and gentle but I find that once a week means I’m more likely to consistently remember to use it.

I go through phases with scrubs. When I find one I like and that agrees with my skin I’ll use it consistently every Sunday. I find it easy to get out of the habit of using a scrub but really notice the difference in my skin when I do. I’m hoping to repurchase this again when it finishes. I find that with dry skin it makes such a difference to use a scrub to remove the build-up of dry skin.

Vitamin C Fix Cleanser

Nip and Fab Vit C cleanser

This is a daily cleanser which is gentle and helps to protect skin from everyday environmental pollutants whilst revealing clearer brighter skin.

I always use a cleanser and have a few favourites I switch between throughout the year. I was really pleased to give this Nip & Fab cleanser (currently £7.95) a try as I’ve been looking to incorporate a vitamin C based cleanser for a while now. Vitamin C is good for brightening skin.

Just like the scrub, I find this cleanser to be gentle and it works well for my dry and sensitive skin. I use it every evening and find that when followed my a thick moisturiser or coconut oil my skin feels soft and hydrated through the night. If I don’t follow on with a face cream quickly after my skin feels a little dry and tight.

Final thoughts

I’m enjoying this cleanser and would happily continue using it ’til it runs out. At this stage I’m not totally sure if I’d buy it again. I’d be more than happy if I got a bottle on offer but this one doesn’t beat my all-time favourite, Ecooking Cleansing gel.

Vitamin C Fix Brightening Pads

Nip and Fab hydrating Pads vitamin C review

The Vitamin C Fix Brightening Pads (on offer for £5 as of writing this post) contain Vitamin C to brighten and even skin tone, coffee seed extract to nourish skin and anti-ageing pomegranate extract.

These pads are another cult beauty product from Nip & Fab. I’ve always been intrigued by them but wasn’t sure how suitable they’d be for my sensitive skin.

I think people use these daily but at the moment I’m just using them every other day. I may build up to incorporating them into a daily routine but for now this is working for me. When I first started to use them I found they made the skin above my lip quite dry but as I continued with them this soon went.

Final thoughts

I find these easy to use and have found that my skin skin is less dry, plumper and glowing. I’m not sure if this is because of the pads or an overall result of using the whole regime. I’ll see how I get on with these over the next couple of months and then decide if I’ll buy more.

Dragon’s Blood Plumping Serum

Nip and Fab Dragon's blood serum - prettygreentea

Dragon’s Blood Plumping Serum is another Nip & Fab product I’ve heard about over the years and always been intrigued to try. It’s meant to be one of Kylie Jenner’s favourites too.

This is a lightweight serum that gives your dehydrated skin an instant shot of moisture. The concentrated formula is designed to plump and smooth the appearance of expression lines, fine lines + wrinkles.

This serum is lightweight but very hydrating. It has a strong scent to it but once it’s applied I don’t notice it. The serum glides on with ease leaving my skin feeling smooth. I then apply the brilliant Nourishing SPF 30 Moisturiser on top.

Final thoughts

I always love having a serum as part of my skincare routine, it’s rare that I don’t. The Dragon’s Blood Plumping Serum is hydrating, absorbs into your skin quickly while leaving it with a smooth texture. It’s also useful to use as a primer.
