On Sunday afternoon I felt the light from the window fade away and a dark shadow was cast over my book. The change in light was so dramatic that I put my book down and looked out of my bedroom window. I could see a flock of flying creatures making their way towards me. For a moment I thought they could be bats, I quickly realised I was wrong and put the fly swatter down. After establishing that the birds were making their way through the very dark sky in search of safety I knew that the rain would soon be here. I grabbed my camera so I could take a few snaps whilst hanging out of my window. Things moved pretty fast and as the sky changed to various shades of grey I kept my lens locked on the birds.
As I predicted the birds moved on and the rain came down hard.
