Travel with Prettygreentea: Walk everywhere

When visiting a new place the best way to start your adventure is by walking everywhere. Make sure you have a good pair of shoes which you find comfortable to walk in and avoid wearing flip flops. Walking to a museum or coffee shop is going to ensure that even if you get lost you will still spot interesting things along the way that you may otherwise have missed. I have been in New York for the last 10 days and I don’t think I have ever walked as much but it has been worth it. On my first day whilst looking for somewhere to have breakfast I found the ICP which I wouldn’t have known about otherwise and that was all thanks to walking without a strict plan.
If you like photography then walking is going to be the best way for you to capture moments of inspiration and daily life in the destination you are staying in. Always try to venture away from the tourist attractions and you will be sure to find less overpriced and more exciting things.
Even if your trip is only a few days you must know when enough is enough otherwise you will get over tired and your feet wont be happy for the next few days.  If you find that your feet are really aching then just jump in a cab to the tube station or back to the hotel so you can store up your energy for your evening escapades. It’s not worth having sore feet because it can spoil your adventure so treat your feet well by wearing very comfortable shoes and having lot’s of breaks
