Beauty review: Avocado Oil

The other month MyPure kindly sent over a bottle of avocado oil for me to try out. The oil I picked was from Lovea Bio, which is an all organic brand and a long standing favourite of mine.

Since the avocado oil arrived I’ve been using it daily. I tend to reach for it at night, so it sits just beside my bed. I apply the oil all over my face, neck and hands. Then depending on how tired I am, I apply the oil to my feet, elbows and all over my legs. I find it best to apply the oil at night to allow enough time for it to sink in and throughly hydrate my skin. If my hands or feet are particularly dry I’ll wear a pair of cotton gloves/socks to intensify the process.

The oil is rich in vitamins A,B and C and helps to regenerate and moisturise the skin – excellent for those of us with dry skin. I also like that the product comes in a spray pump which makes it easy to apply and avoids any mess.

You’ll be pleased to hear that this avocado oil is free of parabens (normally used as a preservative) and fragrance which is ideal for those with sensitive skin. You can see that there is still a lot of the product left and I think that it’s going to last for another 4/5 months; a little goes a long way.

Finally, I just want to point out that some people can be allergic to avocado based products. It’s best to be aware if this will work with your skin before trying it. I eat avocados all the time and I’m delighted that I’m not allergic to them, wish I could say the same for dairy products.

I’ve been using this avocado oil for around a month now and I absolutely love it. I’ll definitely be buying it when it runs out but in the mean time I’m keen to try more products from Lovea Bio.
