Ever since my last visit to Oliver Bonas in Cambridge I’ve been thinking about copper. Yes, I’m a little late on the trend but it’s finally sucked me in.

Copper is everywhere at the moment, it’s one of those trends we can’t seem to escape from. I’ve really taken to it over the last few weeks and thought it was about time I included it in a House & Home post. I’ve picked out some of my favourite copper items from around the web and hope you find some inspiration from this post.

I personally think it’s important to use copper in small quantities. The clock or watering can (from a #smallbiz here in the UK) would make for stylish additions to a home with an eclectic style, they’d fit well with a minimalist look too. I like the idea of using key statement pieces such as the floor lamp, ceiling light or table within large rooms with very subtle colours. This will allow for the copper to stand out and bring a little warmth to the room.

If you’d prefer to invest in smaller items then try introducing copper into your home through kitchen accessories. The glasses, tray and bowl (which is now half price) would make simple yet useful additions to the home. They’re all slightly different shades and would work well together or on their own. I’m personally really taken by the glasses. Anyone fancy a garden party?

If you have anything you’d like me to explore in an upcoming House & Home post then please let me know. I was thinking about doing a few brand focus posts, what do you think?
