Rock Rose Gin – smallbiz

Rock-Rose-ready

I love discovering new brands, small businesses and hand-made treats. I also enjoy sharing them here on my blog, it would be rude to keep my favourites to myself.

Today I’d like to introduce you to Rock Rose gin, have you tried it?

RockRoseGin

Rock Rose is a handcrafted Scottish gin from Dunnet Bay Distillery. I was kindly sent a beautiful gift box with a sample of Rock Rose gin to sample. I wasted no time in cracking some ice and mixing myself a G&T with a sprig of rosemary.

The distillery is run by Martin and Claire with the help of their traditional copper pot still, Elizabeth. Rock Rose gin contains local and traditional botanicals which are all sourced sustainably; juniper berries, rhodiola rosea, sea buckthorn, rowan berries as well as blaeberries, cardamon, coriander seed and verbena.

The scent of this gin is a mix of fruity and floral notes, it’s wonderful. I quickly realised why this gin has been so popular, the taste is just sensational. There are lots of flavours all fighting for attention but none of them are too overpowering. This gin is very easy to drink on its own or to enjoy as a G&T with Fever Tree tonic.

Rock Rose has made it’s way into my list of favourite gins. One of the others is also a small batch Scottish gin, Caorunn.

You can buy Rock Rose gin over on their website.
