Embroidered Clothing

Following on from my last wishlist (all about cactus prints), I’m sharing a selection of embroidered treats with you. I’m very much into the embroidered clothing trend, although at first I wasn’t planning to get involved. I was worried I would fall out of love with it and as I’ve mentioned before, I like to ensure that everything I buy will be used over the years. However, as time has gone on I’ve realised just how perfectly it fits with my style. I think it was this lemon clutch that confirmed my need for a few embroidered details in my life.

I thought it would be fun to share some of my finds with you and see which you think are worth investing in. Leave a comment below and let me know.

Hat Attack Clutch | Swing Cami | Pilcro Shorts | High Top Trainers | Bird Print Shirt | Mini Skater Dress | Flower Shirt | Superga Cherry Trainers

I generally stay away from buying heels these days. I have a few stored away for when events come up but overall I don’t have the chance to wear them. I also just feel much more comfortable in a pair of Converse. So, as you can imagine, I’m loving all of the embroidered trainers which are around at the moment.

I treated myself to these Elmo trainers by Puma the other week and they may not go with everything but I simply couldn’t resist. I’ve worn them a few times with black jeans and very simple outfits. They’re so fun but I’m going to save them ’til the weather gets a little better. I’d still like to add another pair of trainers to my collection for the summer. Something a little more versatile then Elmo. These high top trainers from Quiz would be perfect with spring and summer dresses. Then there’s the Superga Cherry Trainers which I think are just so sweet. Saying that, the other year when I wore Superga trainers a lot I really didn’t find them very comfortable.

Earlier this week I noticed that Quiz have lots of new stock in at the moment. They always have lots of nice pieces for summer and they currently have some lovely embroidered shirts, dresses and shoes. It was this flower shirt that caught my eye when I was walking by the other day. Even if you didn’t want to wear it buttoned up I think it would look lovely with a white top underneath and a cute pair of shorts or a skirt.

Another cute find for me this week is this Bird print shirt. Topshop have been a bit hit and miss for me lately but they’re starting to get some really nice dresses and shirts in for the summer months. The shirt would work so well unbuttoned with a soft top underneath and these cute Pilcro shorts. The detailing down the side of the shorts is minimal but really stands out.

I’m sure you all know that I love a skater dress and I think I may have found the perfect embroidered one. This mini skater dress is beautiful and has a lovely floral pattern all over it. I particularly like the bursts of blue flowers over it.
