Postcards from Southwold

Last month we took X on his first holiday to Southwold. He’d already been on a couple of day trips to the seaside but this was his first proper week away.

Southwold holds a very happy place in my heart. I’ve been going there since I was a baby. It’s a family favourite and I’m yet to find somewhere I love more. Even my grandma has been going since day dot.

Now it’s time to build memories in my favourite little seaside town with my baby. He dipped his toes in the sea, played in the sand and sat on his great great grandfather’s chair.

I took my ‘big camera’ with me but didn’t manage to use it. Luckily phone cameras are really good these days so I don’t feel like I missed out on snapping lots of special moments. I find that it’s best to use the camera you have to hand and go with the flow.

I’ve been sharing these types of blog posts for years. They’re lovely to look back on as the years go by and I can’t wait to share them with Xander.
