Smallbiz: Southwold Nail Bar

nails

Good morning, I hope you’ve all had a good start to the week. I’m back in Sheffield and have lots to update you on. Firstly I want to share a very quick post about a small business I had the pleasure of finding at the weekend.

On Sunday I spent the day in one of my favourite places, Southwold. After a long walk by the sea I headed into town in search of Two Magpies Bakery (more on that later in the week). Before I found my way to the popular cake shop I stumbled upon Southwold Nail Bar, it was hiding behind Howelles and Jolley Pharmacy, if you’re a regular in Southwold then you will know where I mean. If you’re walking too quickly you could easily miss it (it’s a sweet little building and handy if you have family who can’t manage stairs) so make sure you keep your eyes open. I’m all for supporting small and new businesses and as I hadn’t seen this place before I picked up a pricing list. Now, trust me when I say the pricing is very good (£8 for a file and polish) and if I still lived in Southwold I’d be going there on a regular basis.

I was very lucky and managed to get an appointment just 10 minutes later. The lady who did my nails was friendly and very easy to chat to. She filed, shaped and painted my funny little nails as well as applying some excellent hand cream to my poor dry hands. There was a good selection of Mavala and OPI polishes to pick from. I went for an OPI polish BUT I can’t quite remember the name of it. When I figure it out I’ll let you know.

After my half hour relaxation I headed down to Gun Hill to catch up with my mum and grandma and show off my lovely new nails. I’m sure we’ll all be heading back to Southwold Nail Bar on our next visit.

I hope you all had a good weekend and if you happen to be in Soutwhold head ’round the back of Howelles and Jolley Pharmacy and find the cute little nail bar.
