I’ve been tagged by Michael from The Bearded Bakery to share my Fifteen Festive Favourites. I know that Christmas Day has been and gone but I’m still in full festive mode and my holiday doesn’t end ’til the new year begins and I head off back to Sheffield to crack on with work.

01. Favourite Festive Food
I get these feeling that these are going to be a hard bunch of questions. I think I’ll have to go with a good crispy parsnip and of course, Pigs in Blankets – we create one big Pig in a Blanket which is then sliced up, it’s really quite something (see the photo below)!

I’d also like to give my favourite festive drink a mention – mulled wine!

02. Favourite Reindeer
I’ve never really given this much thought but I’m going to go with Prancer. There’s no particular reason behind my choice of reindeer, I just like the name Prancer – isn’t there a film about him too?

03. Favourite Day of Christmas
This is a hard one for me. I love Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and of course, Boixng Day. To me they all come as one big package! Everyone is off at the same time, feeling festive and we really get the chance to relax as a family. I’m afraid I’m not going to pick just one. I enjoy sipping mulled wine and watching Home Alone on Christmas Eve, watching my family unwrap their gifts on Christmas Day and then there’s the good old turkey curry on Boxing Day.

04. Favourite Christmas Song
Without a doubt, Slade – Merry Christmas Everybody.

05. Favourite Present
This is another hard question. I really appreciate everything I get for Christmas and I’m always sure to put my gifts to good use. A few things that have stood out over the years are my Furby (which I still have), Mr.Frosty, camera equipment and this year’s Boden slippers.

06. Favourite Festive Film
A firm favourite is Home Alone 2 (and 1) with Jingle All The Way coming in as a close second.

07. Favourite Festive Cracker Toy
The Fortune Teller Fish, every year! Although we did once have some fun crackers which contained musical whistles and that was fun – these ones are similar.

08. Favourite Cracker Joke
How do snowmen get around? They ride an icicle.

09. Favourite Christmas Decoration
We have a really cute nativity set in the house but I think I’m going to go with this new little chap from Nord in Cambridge:

10. Favourite Christmas Candle Scent
This is my favourite time of the year for burning candles and I always go for something spicy. Cinnamon Stick from Yankee Candle is delicious.

11. Favourite Christmas TV Advert
I think this year I’m going to be predictable an go with the John Lewis one – I can’t think of any others actually!

12. Favourite Festive Tradition
The Christmas Day walk and the giant Pig in a Blanket.

13. Favourite Place to Spend Christmas
Wherever the family home happens to be. However, Southwold holds a very dear place in my heart and we’ve got many happy Christmas memories form there. The photo below shows Southwold beach on Christmas Day after the big Christmas dip in the sea.

14. Favourite Christmas Fact
In Austria they have Krampus knocking about the streets in the run up to Christmas….I dare you to Google it.

15. Favourite Snowman Accessory
Twigs for arms.

I hope you enjoyed this tag post as much as I enjoyed doing it, it’d been a while since I last did a post like this. Feel free to do the tag and let me know via Twitter.

I thought I’d select a few people to give these fun question a go but there’s no pressure:
