5 Winter Essentials From Shopbop + Discount Code

Sorel Boots | Fringed Cape | Beanie Hat | Fit & Flare Dress | Pullover

I love a good online sale, especially when I have a little Paypal money waiting to be spent. I’m not one for browsing the high-street shops in the sale, it’s just too stressful and I’ve even seen people get into fights. Nothing is ever that much of a bargain. However from the comfort of my own home (bed) it’s quite a different story. I’m always happy when a Shopbop sale coming up. They have such a fantastic collection of brands and their shipping is very very quick.

Last month I stocked up on some new skirts, t-shirts and a pair of maroon Vans for my Berlin trip. I also grabbed a fantastic Tumi carry-on bag from Shopbop, let me know if you’d like a review of this. Luckily there are still a few autumn and winter essentials I need to get before the cold weather well and truly hits the UK.

First on my list is a pair of boots. Over the last couple of years I’ve been thinking about investing in a pair of Sorel booties. I’ve heard they’re great for the wet weather and of course, the snow. They aren’t too chunky either which means you can get away with wearing them in the city.

Next in line is a cosy cape. I’m sure you’re all aware of the sudden cape trend. I thought they might be too long and end up drowning me but luckily I’ve tried a bunch of different ones on and they’re fine and very cosy. A big giant rug to wrap yourself in which is socially acceptable, what’s not to love? The one I’ve picked out is from Autumn Cashmere  and has a fringe detail around the bottom. I think this would be particularly hand for using on a plane too. I always get quite chilly half way through a flight.

Another essential is of course, a hat. I love hats, all shapes sizes and colours. I often crack out my pumpkin hat in October but I’m also going to need something to last me throughout the rest of the months. At the moment I’m really enjoy grey. Grey everything. A big grey hat is very much needed in my collection and this 1717 Olive beanie looks ideal. It’s 100% acrylic so if you don’t like wool or cashmere hats because you get too hot this might be a good option. Shopbop also have the best selection of over-sized warm scarves. I’m already eyeing a few up.

Finally a little black dress is always a good investment. You can dress it up or down with accessories and be ready for a day at the office, an afternoon with friends or an evening of cocktails. This Cupcakes and Cashmere dress is versatile and has a classic fit and flare cut.
