CURRENT BREAKFAST FAVE – THE COCONUT COLLABORATIVE

Coconut Collaborstive Strawberry Yogurt Alternative

What have you been enjoying for breakfast recently?

Breakfast is one of my favourite meals of the day and arguably one of the most important. I find a good breakfast can really set me up for the day. If I don’t have anything I quickly run low on energy and then my work and daily plans suffer. Are you the same?

I’ve recently been rushing out of the house last minute most mornings and have had to keep some quick and simple options on hand. As much as I’d love to have a slice of toast with Marmite on or smashed avocado and chilli flakes on toast there’s simply not enough time. Not at the moment anyway, hopefully I’ll be able to change that soon. I’m also trying to avoid eating too much bread, so it’s been good to find some new alternatives.

During the colder months I tend to grab a pot of porridge on the go (Nourish in Sheffield do a fab dairy free one) but during the summer months I simply don’t fancy it. I know the colder months are on their way but for now, I’ve been rotating through a few different breakfast options and I thought I’d share one of my favourites with you today.

I’ve really been enjoying these yogurt pots from The Coconut Collaborative. They’re actually classed as yogurt alternatives and are dairy free and totally delicious. I’ve been a fan of the brand ever since they first launched and even had the chance to interview James Averdieck, the co-founder in my Behind the Biz series.

You can pick these yogurts up in a variety of flavours; Natural, Strawberry, Mango & Passion Fruit and Blueberry. I like them all. I find that they’re a light yet filling way to start the day. If you’re not keen on coconut then these may not be for you, but if you are then you’re in for a real treat. If I have time I add some blueberries or raspberries into the pot but if I need to run then I’ll simply pop one into my bag and tuck in once I get to my co-woring space.

The Coconut Collaborative also make fantastic frozen treats and desserts. I really like their Choc Dipped Coconut Sticks and the Lemon Mousse Pots. They have lots of really good offers on over on Ocado at the mo. Let me know if you give anything from the brand a try, they’re brilliant for those of us who’re dairy free.
