Coastal Inspired Dresses

I like to bring my love of the seaside into the outfits I wear. I’m happiest in blues, whites and pastel shades during the summer months. We finally had some sunshine over the weekend and I hear that it’s meant to last for a few more days. Maybe I’ll even be able to ditch the black tights. I’m all for making the most of the good weather so I’ve been eyeing up some coastal inspired dresses over the weekend.

Revolve – Georgia Dress | People Tree – Susannah Dress | House of Fraser Annie Dress | Topshop – Stripe Wrap Dress | Revolve Nikka Mini Dress |

I really like each of these dresses and they’re firmly on my wishlist and a few of them are in the sale, yay! The dresses I’ve picked out are perfect for day trips to the seaside, most are suitable for city life and can be easily adapted from a day to a night dress on holiday. I like to be mindful about my purchases, the more uses I can get out of something the better. The first dress is from Revolve, have you visited their website? They currently have so many beautiful dresses for the summer months. This stripey little dress is such a beautiful colour and I really like the use of multi-way stripes. I think this dress would be perfect with sandals for a day in Southwold.

Next in line is this bird print dress from People Tree. It’s 100% organic and has been reduced from £75.50 to £25.50, bargain. I think People Tree have a lovely range of clothes and it’s nice to be able to support an ethical brand when you’re preparing your summer wardrobe. I think that this dress is ideal for city living as well as days to the coast.

House of Fraser have a pretty good sale on at the moment. This classic dress from French Connection is now £42. I’m always pleased with the quality of French Connection clothes so I like to keep an eye out for their sales. I’ve also found this Ted baker dress which is beautiful but I’m not sure I have an appropriate occasion to wear it. Is anyone having a garden party?

I have to admit, it’s been a while since I’ve found clothes I really like in Topshop but this summer they’re killing it. I picked up a few bits from them for my holiday to Crete and I’m still getting good use out of them. I found this wrap dress on their website and I’m going to have to pop into the shop to see it IRL. I’ve always been a big fan of red and navy and I think this dress would be a real classic and timeless dress.

Finally on my list is this off the shoulder dress by Mina Los Angeles. I loved off the shoulder tops and dresses back when I was at college so I’m so pleased to see them back on tread again. I think they add a very cute yet chic look to an outfit. I’d pair this dress with these cute trainers from Kate Spade and I’d probably get a seaside themed clutch involved. I do love a good themed outfit.

Which dress would you pick?
