Beauty: Amie face wash and moisturiser – Repurchase

IMG_8536

Good morning, today I want to talk to you about a couple of products that I’ve repurchased recently from Amie. The brand was started by ex- Estée Lauder executive, Fiona Parkhouse. Her aim was to help her daughter to find a skincare solution to avoid using harsh products. She worked alongside leading dermatologist, Dr Susan Mayou of London Cadogan Clinic, to create an effective natural skincare range. The range of products is growing quickly and they work well for those with oily, combination and dry skin. I have dry skin and can assure you that the products I’ve used have worked well for my skin and I’ve continued to repurchase them.

There are no nasties in these products, for example there are no sulphates, which is something I’m pleased about because they irritate my skin and eczema. Many of you will be pleased to hear that they don’t test on animals and the products are suitable for vegans.

Morning Dew is a fantastic moisturiser for when you’re in a mad morning rush, during the very hot days of summer or during winter for those of you with oily skin. It soaks into your skin very quickly and doesn’t leave it greasy. Once the cream is applied you don’t have to wait long before applying your make-up. The cream isn’t thick enough for me at night so I’ve been using my coconut oil.

Morning Dew was on offer in Waitrose the other day and as I’d run out of my Avène cream I thought I’d grab a tube of this to keep me going before the weather gets really cold. Overall it’s a very good cream and one I like to keep to hand for when I’m short of time in the morning. You can read my full review of Morning Dew here.

Currently £2.47 usually £4.95 at Waitrose

Next up is Morning Clear. This is actually my third tube of Morning Clear face wash that I’ve purchased this year (the first was sent for review) and P is a big fan of it too. The product has a very light floral scent with notes of raspberry being the strongest. This face wash is light and gentle on your skin so I use it on a daily basis in morning and at night after removing my make-up. You can see my full review here.

This wasn’t on offer when I got it but Waitrose have it for £2.47 instead of £4.95 – yay!

I tend to think of this brand as something for teenage skin. Oily, spot prone teenage skin. Interesting that you find it works well for your dry skin.

    1. They do have a lot of products aimed at oily skin, it’s why I haven’t tried their face mask. I’m fussy when it comes to masks because my skin is also sensitive as well as dry.

The face cleanser is fantastic, very light and gentle against the skin and no strong scent. It’s been working well for my dry skin. I’m not sure how it will fair during winter though, I’ll keep you updated. 🙂
